During the 1970’s the the Mexico and connected Rally Sport (RS) models totally dominated the world of rallying. Although based on the humble Ford Escort, the Mexico was a very different animal built by Ford's Advanced Vehicle Operations (AVO) facility located Essex and had superb handling characteristics and now highly sought after but be careful to check for authenticity as there are many replica’s based on lesser models.
